4th Annual Patina National RTV Trial

Fancy a September weekend in North Yorkshire?

Saturday, September 7th is the date for the Patina National RTV trial being run at North Hamsley in conjunction with the Yorkshire LROC.

The Patina National is for non-shiny, road legal, leaf-sprung Land Rovers – there are three classes for different wheelbases – and thanks to a separate eight-section RTV trial being run by YLROC the following day, it’s a chance to make a camping weekend of it.

Patina National RTV trials classes will be as follows; Leaf springs ‘up to 87in’, ‘over 87in’ and ’95in and over’. Door tops are not required, seat belts are (minimum lap belt), hood sticks and windscreens required.
Drivers must be in an MSA-registered club and bring their membership card to prove it, scrutineering will be to MSA regulations. Jeeps, Austin Gipsys and similar are also welcome.
There are trophies for three trials classes and one for the highest placed Non-Land Rover as well as others; Long Distance (for the entrant who drives his/her Land Rover the furthest to enter). Best Dressed Crew (for the duo most suitably dressed to suit the age of their Land Rover). Editor’s Choice (for something to be decided on the day). Spirit of the Event (for the entrant who most enters into the spirit of the event).

There’s also camping nearby and within walking distance of a pub. What’s not to like?

YLROC is also holding an RTV on Sunday 8th so there’s scope to enter two trials in one weekend or to drive a couple of local scenic green lanes.

The entry forms for the Patina National RTV trial will soon be available courtesy of the YLROC but, for now, write the date in your diary and sign up for the newsletter at the YLROC website here
